Admissions Requirements for Graduate Programs at SIMAD University
To be considered for admission into our graduate programs, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree: A recognized bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is mandatory.
- Cumulative GPA (CGPA):
- A minimum CGPA of 2.75/4.00 is preferred.
- Applicants with a CGPA between 2.50 – 2.74/4.00 must meet one of the following additional requirements:
- One year of research experience.
- One year of professional experience in the related field.
- At least one academic publication in the relevant field.
- A grade of B or higher in major/elective courses.
- A grade of B+ or higher in the final year project.
- For those with CGPA between 2.00 – 2.49/4.00:
- Five years of research experience or five years of professional experience in the related field.
- At least one academic publication in the relevant field.
- A grade of B or higher in major/elective courses.
- A grade of B+ or higher in the final year project.
- Prerequisite Knowledge: Coursework in Finance, economics, or related fields is essential.
- Recommendations: Submission of letters of recommendation to vouch for the applicant’s suitability and potential.
- Statement of Purpose: A written document detailing the applicant’s goals and reasons for choosing the specific graduate program.
- Work Experience: Relevant professional experience in the field is recommended, enhancing the applicant’s prospects, although it’s not a strict necessity.
- English Proficiency: Proficiency in English is a graduation requirement. Options include:
- Scoring B2 on the Cambridge Lingua Skills Test.
- Enrolling in the IML English Skills Programs and completing the requisite English courses.
