Dr. Abdinur Ali Mohamed is an economist and policy advisor with a PhD in Economics. He is a lecturer at SIMAD Graduate School, where he teaches core economics courses at the graduate level. Previously, he served as Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Dean of the Graduate School at SIMAD University. Beyond academia, he is the national economic advisor to the President of Somalia and a member of the National Economic Council (NEC). He has contributed to major national frameworks, including Vision 2060, the State of the Economy Report 2025, and the National Transformation Plan (NTP). His research interests include climate change and labor productivity, financial inclusion, mobile money, remittances, and governance in fragile states, and he has published in peer-reviewed journals.
