Dr. Dr. Fred Awaah is a renowned scholar and faculty member in the Department of Management Studies at the University of Professional Studies – Accra (UPSA), Ghana. He is celebrated for his Theory of Higher Education Learning, which enhances students’ understanding of concepts in higher education. With an h-index of 15 and an i10-index of 25 (as of May 2025), he has authored two books, more than thirty peer-reviewed journal articles (28 Scopus-indexed), several book chapters, technical reports, and conference proceedings.
Dr. Awaah holds two doctoral degrees: a PhD in Public Administration (University of Burundi) and a PhD in ICT Education (Lagos State University). His teaching and research focus on higher education management, public administration, entrepreneurship, and ICT in education. He has presented at over fifty international conferences and has worked extensively with the African Union, European Union, UNESCO, Association of African Universities, DAAD, Trust Africa, MasterCard Foundation, and various African governments.
His academic achievements have earned him prestigious recognition, including the British Academy–AAU Early Career Researchers Fellowship for Sub-Saharan Africa, and repeated rankings among the top researchers at UPSA by the AD Scientific Index. He also serves as a reviewer for several leading international peer-reviewed journals.
